Shine opens for third round of investment
The Health Foundation’s improvement programme, Shine, is open for a third round of funding, with over £1m available to support up to 18 innovative healthcare projects.
Shine offers organisations and individuals the opportunity to develop and test ideas, gather evidence to support them and provide a platform for national recognition, promoting the best ideas to policy makers and NHS leaders.
The 2012 challenge is to find new approaches to delivering healthcare that supports patients to be active partners in their own care, improve patient safety and improve quality while reducing costs.
Shine will provide up to £75,000 investment per project over a 15-month period and the resources to test and evaluate innovative ideas.
