Pressures on A&E and NHS 111
Source: Sue
It is no wonder that the pressures have increased, the predecessor of 111 was buckling under the pressure! Then you have the government/NHS directors closing all the small casualty/A&E depts so that local hospitals either have no facility as they used to, or the protocols for the ambulances are so restrictive that they take everyone to the major unit and drive past the smaller ones.
I'm sorry to say... The problem has been caused by polices being developed by people who should know better! You need to reopen the excellent small casualty depts that were closed! You cannot pour a gallon into a pint pot! Or should that be 20 ambulances to the same door at the same time?
