NHS trust appoints interim chief executive

NHS Suffolk has announced that it has seconded an interim chief executive, following the resignation of its last leader.

Dr Paul Watson will begin his secondment in October and has said that he is very happy to have been offered the role.

He told the BBC: “It is an immense privilege to be taking on this role.

He continued: “I'll be working with colleagues to focus on further improvements to local NHS services while driving forward the changes which will put GPs and patients at the forefront of decision making.”

The trust’ s last chief executive left because of health reasons.
