How long?
Waiting times, which slowly fizzled out as a political issue during the Labour years, are fertile ground for the opposition at the moment.
The DH has hit back at the latest stats, released by the Patients Association after Freedom of Information requests, as “partial” and suggested the picture is really quite rosy.
It’s not enough to say the statistics are complicated and leave it at that. But it is hard to get at the facts with such politicised data, with so many people having an interest in presenting it one way or the other.
