A better attitude is needed
Managers in the NHS often talk about the difficulty in developing relationships with clinicians, because of a perceived feeling of suspicion on both sides.
This is something which I, as a journalist, have also experienced. However, I have found that the key to success is not to let one experience sour your view of an entire profession - whilst some doctors can be very dismissive, many others are extremely helpful and pleasant.
If the NHS is going to improve then everyone needs to work together and these divisions need to be put behind us.
