And so the assault begins on GPs
I must admit to having a chuckle at the blatant smear campaign now being carried out by parts of the media against GPs. And they had better get used to it.
It seems that not a day goes by without some headline about either how much GPs are earning or the ‘threat’ they pose to the NHS through the new commissioning structure.
After years of calling for clinical leadership, GPs must now deal with the often irrational nature of public scrutiny. And they are welcome to it.
