Big Society in action?

It is always good to see people playing a bigger part in the design of healthcare – I just hope that right people are chosen to be citizen advisors.

Those involved need to have a genuine interest in helping people and a good understanding of local healthcare needs.

Let’s hope that the government takes this new Health Watch seriously and that it can really deliver for local people.

Over the coming years, it will only be with the involvement of local people that effective change for the better will happen.
