Choppy waters ahead
The future of the health service – along with many other services in Britain – will be an uncertain one.
Although funding has been secured for the next four years, the government is pressing ahead with controversial reforms.
Whilst Andrew Lansley seems confident that those reforms will deliver better healthcare and a more effective and efficiency NHS, many don’t share his enthusiasm.
Whatever happens, the NHS will need a steady hand to guide it through the potentially choppy waters ahead.
