DH announces appointments and re-appointments

The Department of Health has announced a raft of non-executive appointments and reappointments across various groups and agencies.

On the national advisory group on clinical audit and enquiries, Jane Rippon was appointed as a local clinical audit representative member with effect from 1 September 2012, for three years. 

At the Office for the Strategic Coordination of Health Research (OSCHR), Dr Patrick Vallance and Dame Julie Moore were reappointed as independent members with effect from 2 September 2012, for three years. 

On the Rapid Review Panel, Professor Peter Borriello has been reappointed as chair with effect from 30 September 2012, for one year. Rosemary Gallagher, Peter Hoffman and Dr John Holah have been reappointed for four years and Andrew Bates, Professor Stephen Denyer and Jonathan Plumb reappointed for three years with effect from 30 September 2012. 

For the CJD Incidents Panel, the appointments of Dr Oliver Blatchford, Dr Gerry Bryant, Dr Adam Fraise, Martin Fulford, Dr Pat Hewitt, Professor James Ironside, Dr Michael Kelsey, Professor Diana Kloss, Dr Simon Mead, Dr Mike Painter, Ian Pearce, Dr Roland Salmon, Dr Geoff Ridgway, Professor John Saunders, Alun Tomkinson, Gillian Turner, Barrie White, Jan Waters, Professor Bob Will and Terence Wiseman have all been extended to 31 March 2013 with effect from 1 September 2012.
