Is this a competition?
It appears that the unions are having a competition to see who can scare their members the most.
Whilst reading this morning’s headlines it struck me that they must trying to outdo each other in terms of how many NHS jobs will be lost.
Of course NHS jobs are going to go – we are coming out of a recession.
But we need to focus on what this means for patients – not staff. Staff can get jobs elsewhere – some patients will not have that second chance.
Its time we in the health service got our priorities right for once.
