Leaving the back door open?
The latest controversy over NHS provider regulations has raised serious concerns over the Government intentions regarding competition.
The old warning of “privatisation by the back door” has crept up again, perhaps this time with good reason.
Should each and every NHS service be open to private provision? Many within the NHS will oppose this tooth and nail, even if they accept its usefulness in principle in certain circumstances.
