Live or let die
The Commission on Assisted Dying is to review evidence from experts and the public and consider what system, if any, should exist to allow people to be assisted to die and whether any changes in the law should be introduced.
Although the subject is extremely sensitive and complex, ultimately it should be up to the individual to decide his or her own fate providing there are safeguards and those who may be pressured into ending their lives are protected.
