Why on earth is a trust paying tens of thousands of pounds for senior management to move house?
Whilst £18,000 is not that much in the grand scheme of things, it is this kind of spending which will reduce public confidence in the ability of managers to run the health service in the time of austerity.
The public see spending like this as proof that managers have lost touch with reality and that whilst managers are happy to impose cuts on treatments and services, they will make sure they look after their own.
After all, given the wages which are paid to senior management, why can’t they afford to pay for their own removals?
