Reforms will put pressure on GPs
According to the Royal College of GPs, doctors could be faced with angry patients if planned NHS reforms go ahead. RCGP chair Clare Gerada has warned that plans for £80 billion of annual funding being placed with GPs could lead to patients begging doctors for life-saving drugs.
The likeliest winners of this transfer of funding are the drug companies and the most articulate patients.
