The term obesity does a fat lot of good
I was glad to hear that doctors now want to be able to tell patients that they are fat again, because the cost to the NHS of people being overweight in Britain is astonishing.
New data which shows that the amount of surgery taking place to deal with the problem also indicates that it is a growing problem.
After all, if a doctor says that you are obese, you are more likely to think that you have an ‘illness’, rather than just no self control.
Whilst I know there are certain conditions which make people put on weight, the huge number of obese people in Britain suggests that they can not all can be ‘ill’.
Instead of spending so much money on surgery, why not just install running machines in our hospitals, link them up to the mains and there you have it - free power and healthier people.
