This is getting ridiculous
To hear that a hospital is having to close its services over the winter months because of patient safety worries is frankly ludicrous.
Although I agree that if services aren’t safe that they should be closed, I feel that the situation should have been handled better.
The reason the services have to close is because they were due to be closed permanently by the last government but weren’t so a lot of the staff left anyway. There are therefore not enough staff to operate services safely.
To have health services in such a shocking state of disarray is shameful.
