Why are you looking at porn anyway?
Why on earth have 2020health.org been looking into the NHS’s use of porn at fertility clinics?
When the NHS is facing the most far reaching shake up of recent years - coupled with a potentially crippling lack of funds - why is this ‘thinktank’ not concentrating on one of the major issues, such as reducing overall costs? Or efficiency? Or improving patient outcomes?
Whilst I would agree that porn is not exactly what the NHS should be spending its money on, the amounts of cash which have been spent on it – according to the report – certainly do not justify an investigation of this nature.
It appears to me that the people behind this report were trying to make a point about liberal society’s mainstream acceptance of pornography, rather than any point about spending in the NHS.
The report is a massive waste of time and effort, by a group of people who could do so much good for the health service. So let’s concentrate on making people better, rather than judging them morally.
