Free at the point of need. For everyone. Always.
Whilst I am sure that the NHS can be run in a far more effective way than it is at the moment, I am deeply concerned about the suggestion of refusing treatment to patients with unhealthy lifestyles.
After all, fat people’s taxes pay for the NHS just as much as anybody else’s. The tax provided to the state from smokers and alcohol drinkers is even greater.
I have also noticed that it always seems to be upper middle class buffoons who seem to be making these suggestions around refusing treatment – let’s see if their minds change if their private health insurance ever becomes invalid!
