We need better protection for whistleblowers
Although I am not acquainted with all of the facts around the Baby P whistleblower’s case – so would not want to comment directly about that case in particular – I believe that whistleblowers in general do need more protection.
If the NHS is to deliver on its key function of caring for the sick, then it needs to look after its own staff in a more caring way – and that means listening to them, even when they are telling you something you do not want to hear.
