Weight loss woman speaks out against critics

A woman who received £28,000 worth of weight loss treatment on the NHS has spoken out against critics of the treatment.

Roxanne Ayling, 22, has said that the expensive treatments given to her will actually save money for the NHS in the long run.

She told reporters: “Some people say weight-loss surgery and cosmetic surgery should not be given on the NHS.

“But I believe it saves the NHS money. Without it, I would have got fatter and ended up needing more treatment later for obesity-related illness.”
