NHS Plus is pleased to announce Andrew Gilbey has joined the team to lead commercial development of its network. NHS Plus is dedicated to increasing the provision and quality of health, work and wellbeing services whilst operating through a growing network of NHS OH units across England.
Keith Johnston, Programme Manager, NHS Plus said: “NHS Plus is pleased to welcome Andrew aboard – Andrew will be leading our efforts to ensure occupational health services are available to our customers across the country through our growing and vibrant network of NHS teams.”
Seconded to NHS Plus, Andrew will continue in his other role, leading the occupational health team at NHS Plus at York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Andrew heads up the service, leading a team of over 50 dedicated to delivering occupational health, counseling and staff benefits for local NHS organisations and over 100 smaller businesses in North Yorkshire. York Hospitals Foundation Trust was awarded seed funding by NHS Plus and recently became the first demonstration site to open. On the back of this development, the team is experiencing unprecedented growth and continues to expand.
Andrew's new role at NHS Plus will focus on supporting the commercial development of the NHS Plus network across England. He aims to bring together the excellent work already underway amongst the network, including developing a range of marketing tools and materials. Andrew will also build upon the work at NHS Plus @ Health at Work at Imperial College unit who recently secured the first national contract to provide health, work and wellbeing services to NHS Direct.
“My experience at York means I understand the challenges and opportunities associated with delivering health, work and wellbeing services to customers, including smaller businesses. With a brand as strong as the NHS, we’re well positioned to compete and deliver an exceptional service,” said Andrew Gilbey, NHS Plus.
Prior to joining the NHS, Andrew worked for Asda in a number of roles, including sales, human resources, customer service and general management.
