GenerationQ recruits 18 healthcare leaders
The next round of senior healthcare professionals has been selected to join the GenerationQ programme to develop and improve healthcare leaders.
Run by the Health Foundation, the 18-month programme will develop the necessary personal skills and strategies for leaders to deal with the complex challenges facing the NHS, through a range of forums, workshops and one to one coaching.
The 18 fellows are senior leaders from a diverse range of settings and backgrounds, and will continue to work with the Health Foundation after the programme ends, to promote healthcare improvement more widely.
Penny Pereira, assistant director at the Health Foundation said: “GenerationQ will develop leaders that can recognise and use the current uncertainties in the NHS as a source for innovation. Their understanding and commitment to quality is particularly important in positioning them to lead when resources are being cut and people are feeling under pressure.”
The GenerationQ programme is run in partnership with Ashridge Consulting and Unipart Expert Practices. This is the third round since the programme’s launch in 2010 and the next round will be open for applications in early 2013.
