NHS workers lack faith in the Government – survey
A poll of NHS workers has revealed a startling lack of confidence in the Government to keep the health service safe.
Fewer than one in ten of those surveyed thought the NHS is “safe in the hands” of the Coalition, the YouGov survey for campaign group 38 Degrees suggested.
Even fewer, just 3%, thought the main impact of the health reforms has been to improve patient care. More than two-thirds of the doctors, nurses, surgeons and administrators polled said the reforms had made care worse.
Shadow health secretary called the results “devastating”, but a Conservative health spokesman told The Sun that the campaign group was notorious for its “misleading” questions and said the poll of just over 300 NHS workers was not statistically meaningful.
