Sponsorship deal agreed to support children’s parties for NHS kids

A leading national provider of children’s parties, Non-Stop Kids Entertainment, are to be able to provide virtual parties for NHS children’s wards and children of NHS staff during the current coronavirus outbreak after securing a sponsorship deal.

National energy supplier Octopus Energy has signed off a deal which will cover four virtual parties a week for either the children of NHS key workers or children’s wards for any NHS trust willing to take up the offer.

At a time of unprecedented change and disruption like Covid-19 has caused, it can sometimes be forgotten the impact the virus can have on the younger members of society. Offering a fun distraction for these children, who may well be going through a worrying or stressful time, through the likes of virtual parties can make a significant difference.

Cannock-based Non-Stop Kids normally deliver around 8,000 children’s parties a year across the UK through a network of over 100 entertainers, as well as working with corporate clients including Drayton Manor and Cirque du Soleil.

In reaction to Covid-19, the company first developed a virtual party package to cater for up to 100 children at a time, after being approached by corporate client Octopus Energy to provide a solution in support of its staff working from home.

Virtual parties use Zoom technology so that the entertainer can interact with all the children taking part and involve a mixture of magic, songs and games tailored to the age group of each individual party.

Non-Stop Kids Managing Director Craig Petty said: “We’re delighted Octopus Energy has agreed to this sponsorship deal, which came at their suggestion.

“We’re already in talks with a number of NHS trusts and it was at one of their suggestions that we have extended the offer to children on NHS hospital wards who may be currently feeling very lonely and isolated, as well as to the children of NHS key workers.

“Octopus have been incredibly generous and we are extremely grateful to them for being the first to sponsor the initiative.

“We are now actively seeking further sponsors to increase the number of parties we are able to deliver, so we’d very much like to put the call out there to other companies who might be interested in getting involved as sponsors to help us support the NHS and bring some much-needed cheer to children’s wards across the country.

Octopus Energy Group Product & Marketing Director Rebecca Dibb-Simkin added: “We are really proud to be helping a little with this initiative for kids’ parties for children’s wards and NHS workers, spreading some joy in these difficult times.

“Our staff have enjoyed these remote sessions with a variety of kids’ entertainers and we hope other children will too.”
