RCN open consultation on education, learning and development strategy
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has launched a new consultation process, asking for input from members across the nursing workforce on their views and priorities, as it looks to develop a three-year UK-wide education, learning and development strategy.
Working in collaboration with its RCN Group partners, RCN Foundation and RCNi, the strategy will look to give health and care professionals access to flexible learning approaches, lead innovation, build on the integration of health and social care and strengthen the voice of nursing and midwifery in all NHS and independent health and social care settings.
In order to ensure the strategy best suits the needs of all its members, the RCN has launched a consultation process to better understand how it can support the lifelong learning of its members as they progress through the profession.
Seeking to hear from as many members as possible, from all roles across the nursing profession and the UK, the consultation will help shape the future of the RCN’s education, learning and development offer.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us to develop and deliver new evidence-based guidance and learning resources that will support the UK’s future health care workforce requirements.
“We’d like to invite all members to feed into our consultation and help us develop a focused, informed strategy that provides the right education, learning and development opportunities to support nursing innovation, leadership and professional practice.”
