Not all qualified nurses provide an acceptable standard of nursing care

I have observed some poor nursing standards in the NHS and as a manager with recruitment responsibility I have interviewed some nurses who I definitely would not employ and wonder how they are employed by anyone. Just because someone is a qualified nurse does not mean that the quality of nursing care they provide is up to an acceptable standard.

I think the salary criteria is a bit random and it would be better to allow people to stay according to how good they are at being a nurse & providing high quality compassionate care.
