From next week, Michelle Johnson will join NHS Supply Chain as the organisation’s new clinical executive director.
Johnson has worked in the NHS as a registered adult and child nurse for more than 38 years and has held leadership roles in hospital, mental health and community health services.
Joining from North Central London Integrated Care Board where she was deputy chief clinical officer, Johnson is also queen’s nurse, has a MSc in child health and has been a Florence Nightingale children and young people’s scholar.
“I am looking forward to providing clinical leadership into the strategic thinking and decision-making processes of the Executive Team,” said Johnson.

Johnson, who is also a trustee and vice chair for the Roald Dahl Marvellous Children’s Charity, continued: “I am excited to help to shape the future strategy to ensure that quality and patient safety are at the heart of the organisation.”
NHS Supply Chain’s chief executive, Andrew New, added: “I am delighted that Michelle is joining us, and I am looking forward to working with her.
“Her clinical leadership and expertise will strengthen our ambition to provide greater value to our NHS partners as we take forward our vision and strategy.”
