Falling down
Patients are suffering because of the state of many buildings and facilities in the NHS estate.
The latest report uncovers some shocking tales of patients treated in cupboards, no wash basins and 250-year-old buildings being used for NHS care despite them being simply not good enough.
The DoH says the situation is improving – but hopefully one aspect of the Government’s reforms will be ‘reforming’ some of the facilities where patients are treated and their families have to stay.
