Seven-day working continues to move closer, as Sir Bruce Keogh sets out standards to implement across the NHS over the next three years.
Getting this structure in place will be essential to help commissioners and providers to move towards delivering truly accessible and quality care, any day of the week.
It will require huge changes in training, regulation, incentives and culture – all of which will take time to embed. But it is great to see greater planning and collaboration on this issue, with professionals from across the sector supporting the call for seven-day services.
