Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust has announced the appointment of Mary Mumvuri MBE as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a key moment in the Trust’s leadership as it continues to deliver mental health, learning disability and children’s services across the region.
Mary takes up the post with immediate effect, having served as Acting Chief Executive since August 2025.
Mary Mumvuri brings extensive experience from across the NHS, alongside a strong clinical background as a registered mental health nurse. Since 2022, she has held the role of Chief Nursing Officer at CWPT, providing leadership across clinical services and workforce development.
Her career in nursing and senior leadership has shaped what she describes as a career‑long commitment to patient‑centred, compassionate and high‑quality care — values central to CWPT’s mission.
Mary’s appointment provides continuity at a time when CWPT continues to deliver and develop services for the people of Coventry and Warwickshire, supporting some of the most vulnerable communities.
During her time as Acting Chief Executive, Mary has helped steer the Trust through ongoing operational and workforce challenges, while maintaining a focus on safe, effective and responsive care.
Her permanent appointment signals confidence in her leadership and vision for the Trust’s future. Commenting on her new role, Mary said:
“I am truly honoured to be appointed Chief Executive Officer of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a nurse, I know how vital it is to the delivery of strong clinical outcomes that the voice of our patients, carers and staff helps guide every decision we make.
“CWPT has a reputation for providing compassionate care, and I look forward to building on the legacy of Mel Coombes MBE, working alongside colleagues and partners to continue improving services for the communities we serve.”

As Chief Executive, Mary will oversee a wide portfolio of services, including:
- Mental health services
- Learning disability services
- Children’s services
She will also play a central role in partnership working across the local health and care system, supporting integrated approaches to improving outcomes for local people.
