Jane Hamilton, the chair of NHS Property Services (NHSPS), will step down from her role in the summer.
Jane joined NHSPS’ board in March 2021 and has spent the last 15 years working in the UK, but has now made the decision to return to her native Australia.
Some of Jane’s achievements include a:
- Pivot to a customer centric operating model
- Transformational organisational redesign
- New business strategy
NHSPS is now ready to take the next step in its journey with its newly developed five-year business strategy, according to Jane.
She said: “I know that I will be leaving behind a strong team in place with an exciting future, which I will continue to watch from afar.”
Recruitment is underway for Jane’s replacement as she gears up to step down as chair at the end of July.
“I would like to thank Jane for the last three years of help and support she has brought to NHSPS,” said Ellie Mason, shareholder representative director on the board for the Department of Health and Social Care. “She has shown true passion and commitment to everything we are trying to achieve. We wish her the best for the future.”
Some of the recent achievements in the NHS estates will be discussed and analysed at National Health Executive’s online conference in July, along with how the New Hospital Programme is going and net zero targets.
NHSPS’ chief executive, Martin Steele, puts Jane’s three decades’ worth of experience in property and the public sector as the driving force behind sustained high levels of operational performance.
He said: “I would like to thank her for the guidance and advice she has provided to me personally and wish her all the very best and every success for the future.”
